(Post # 1) He didn't think of himself as being especially esoteric...

(Post #1) (Draft Copy- work in progress)

He liked to describe himself as being ecclectic and non-doctrinaire,

but of course he knew that he was Different

in subtle, yet Sometimes quite significant ways...

He laughed to himself

His own kids had said to him more than once, "Dad, you are not like other people! Not at all."

He smiled more

and moved on to a memory of a friend from work, Rose.

She once told him after knowing him for eight or nine years that when she first met him,

watched him work, and talk in staff meetings, she wondered if he really had come from another planet.

She turned out to be his most trusted friend in terms of being able to count on someone to tell him      the truth, especially if he was making some huge mistake, but everyone else was afraid to say anything or question his judgement .

 ...

¿Can I Count On YOU? It is a recurring question  which is implied and underlies all kinds of relationships at at every stage of life.

Lol

You can see that I have incorrectly used Spanish punctuation with English words.

Eventually I hope to convince those who might be upset by my disregard for convention, if I can demonstrate that such departures might increase student comprehension.

We will see.

We will see.

More tomorrow...

Baby Steps  my dear friends, baby steps...

Perhaps we could even begin to tell the story.
